Sep 27, 2005 Simpson College's Bob Darrah, a high school and college wrestling coach for 33 years, has been elected for induction into the Glen Brand Wrestling Hall of Fame of Iowa. Bob Darrah Darrah will be inducted as part of the Class of 2006 Apr. 8 in the Glen Brand Wrestling Hall of Fame of Iowa wing of the International Wrestling Institute and Museum. Upon graduating from Lassen Community College, White attended Simpson University where he was selected as team captain of the wrestling team while majoring in English. Since graduating from Simpson, White has returned to his hometown of Sparks, Nevada where he is the assistant coach of his alma mater Spanish Springs High School’s wrestling team. Nov 29, 2018 He was named national coach of the year in 1988 and was inducted into the Iowa Wrestling Hall of Fame (1991) and the National Wrestling Hall of Fame (2006). At Simpson, he earned Iowa Conference. Apr 25, 2017 Simpson College seeks candidates for a full-time Assistant Wrestling Coach. Qualified candidates will demonstrate the ability to assist the Head Coach with all phases of the NCAA Division III progr.
Storm grapplers defeat Ozarks at Gator Duals. Shyler Langley and Sam Mathis finished 3-1 at the Gator “Boots” Duals on Saturday and the Simpson wrestling team picked up a win over the University of the Ozarks to close out the Storm’s 2019 portion of their schedule.

Jim Holcomb was hired as Simpson University’s head men’s basketball coach and assistant athletic director in June 2013. He has had coaching experience as an assistant coach at the college level and a head coach at the high school level. He was an assistant coach for Simpson from 1999-2003 and an assistant coach for Shasta College in Redding from 2008-2013. He was the head coach at Anderson High School from 2003-2008.
Holcomb earned a B.A. in Organizational Leadership from Simpson’s School of Continuing Studies, ASPIRE program in 2001. He has also earned a teaching credential and an M.A. in Education, both from Simpson’s School of Education.
Coach Holcomb resides in Redding with his wife, Jeanette. They have been married for 34 years and have two daughters, Jill and Jennifer. In his spare time, he likes to go hunting and spend time outdoors and with his family.

Williams joins the Red Hawks with 28 years of coaching experience at Anderson High School. While at Anderson, Williams coached 15 state medalists, including six finalists and two champions and 32 north section masters champions. He has six team masters titles and 20 Northern Athletic League team championships. As head coach he also had 18 years top five section masters team finishes. In 2002, he was named State Wrestling Coach of the Year by the California Wrestling Coaches’ Association.
As a student at California State University Chico (1978-82), Williams was a four-year starter, a 1981 Conference Champion, a 1981 NCAA Division II All-American, a 1982 Conference Champion and a 1982 NCAA Division II All-American. In 1999, he was inducted into the Chico State University Athletic Hall of Fame.

Simpson College Wrestling Coach Make
Forseth brings a wealth of coaching experience to Simpson’s wrestling team. He is the head wrestling coach at Parsons Junior High School, a position he’s held since 2011. He was the head wrestling coach at Enterprise High School from 1985-1999 and 2005-2008. He is also the director of the Nor-Cal Invitational Wrestling Tournament and the NSCIF Masters Tournament.
He attended Sunset High School in Hayward, Calif., where he wrestled at the varsity level for three years. He was drafted in 1971 and served as an apprenticeship machinist after military service. He moved to Redding in 1978 and opened his own business Rod’s Radiator Shop.
He and his wife, Evelyn, have three children and seven grandchildren.
